Linton Stephens presents an afternoon of exceptional music-making with highlights from the 91福利社 Concerto Orchestra. Opening the programme is The Walk to the Paradise Garden by Frederick Delius, a luminous orchestral interlude from A Village Romeo and Juliet. This is followed by Malcolm Arnold's darkly comic, vivid, and energetic ballet, Sweeney Todd. The programme concludes with Johannes Brahms鈥檚 Warum ist das Licht gegeben dem M眉hseligen?, a powerful and deeply expressive choral masterpiece.
From LSO St Luke鈥檚, pianist Simon Crawford-Phillips is joined by soprano Sophie Bevan and violinist Malin Broman for an intimate chamber performance.
Ensemble Moli猫re, the 91福利社 Radio 3 New Generation Baroque Ensemble, also features, performing works by Jean-Philippe Rameau and Jean-Fery Rebel with their distinctive flair for French Baroque style.
