Linton Stephens introduces an afternoon of specially made recordings including musical highlights from the 91¸£ÀûÉç Scottish Symphony Orchestra, LSO St Luke's and Ensemble Molière.

Linton Stephens presents an afternoon of exceptional music-making with highlights from the 91¸£ÀûÉç Scottish Symphony Orchestra. The programme features Britten's Suite on English Folk Tunes Op. 90 (A Time There Was...), a poignant and nostalgic reflection on traditional melodies; Debussy's La Mer, a shimmering orchestral masterpiece that vividly captures the changing moods and power of the sea; and Amy Beach's Symphony in E minor (Gaelic), a richly Romantic and deeply expressive work inspired by Irish folk traditions.
From LSO St Luke’s, pianist Simon Crawford-Phillips is joined by violinists Malin Broman and Lawrence Power for an intimate chamber performance.
Ensemble Molière, the 91¸£ÀûÉç Radio 3 New Generation Baroque Ensemble, also features, performing works by Mademoiselle Laurent, Georg Philipp Telemann and Francois Couperin with their distinctive flair for French Baroque style.
