An online fundraising campaign's begun - for the family of an Essex dad who was killed in a road crash. Richard Purvis died at the scene near Stansted Airport at the beginning of October. His wife Beth Purvis – known locally as The Bowel Warrior - died of last year of bowel cancer, having campaigned for better diagnosis of the disease. The late couple are survived by two children. Family friend Cassie Brodie told Ben Fryer that the loss is devastating.
