Mars rovers tested in Leighton Buzzard
Two Mars rovers have been put through their paces in a former quarry in Leighton Buzzard.
The four-wheel and six-wheel vehicles have been developed by the aerospace company Airbus in Stevenage.
The Bedfordshire quarry, which has also been used as a film location, was chosen because of its 鈥榙ynamic landscape鈥� which could not be replicated at their Hertfordshire test base.
Rover programme manager Chris Draper told Andy Collins what the tests involved.
