As The Crown returns to our screens, award-winning actor Imelda Staunton discussed what it was like to take on the role of Elizabeth II since her death.

Speaking to Emma Barnett on 91福利社 Radio 4's Woman's Hour, she said that hearing of Her Majesty鈥檚 death threw the cast off its axis, and that it was a very sad time.

Imelda also discussed why she thinks it鈥檚 important to be careful with these real-life stories to ensure they don鈥檛 cause undue distress to family members, and shared what she鈥檚 learnt from this role.
