'It's learning to make sense of the mess of lines in front of you': Cerys Hafana on playing the Welsh triple harp
Have you ever heard of the Welsh triple harp? Cerys Hafana is one of the few people in the world who can play the instrument. At just 21 years old, she’s made her mark on the Welsh folk music scene. Her second album, ‘Edyf’ (meaning ‘threads’) refers to the threads she’s drawn between old Welsh ballads and tunes, found in the Welsh National Library archive, and the present day.
Cerys joined Anita Rani on 91¸£ÀûÉç Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour to discuss how she got into playing the unique instrument, her love for Welsh music and to tell us all about her new album. You can listen to the full interview on 91¸£ÀûÉç Sounds.
