‘She was like summer’: ’Rizzo’ from Grease remembers Olivia Newton-John

Stockard Channing spoke to Woman’s Hour on Tuesday to pay tribute to actor and singer Olivia Newton-John who has died at the age of 73. Olivia is best remembered for playing the iconic role of Sandy in the musical film Grease, alongside Stockard’s Rizzo.

Stockard joined presenter Jessica Creighton to share her memories of shooting the film and revealed how the cast reacted to Sandy’s dramatic transformation (and leather trousers)! She also reflected on why Olivia’s performance has stood the test of time.
