Sissinghurst: An Unfinished History by Adam Nicolson (Omnibus)
Adam Nicolson's story of the British garden, started in the 1930s by his grandparents Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicolson.
"Sissinghurst is what I am. My nutrients come from the soil; it is the land I have walked over, looked out over, smoked my first cigarette in, planted my first tree in, bicycled over, slept in and lived in all my life."
Adam Nicolson's grandparents, Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicolson, bought Sissinghurst Castle in the Weald of Kent in 1930.
They turned its grounds into one of Britain's best-loved gardens.
Adam reads his own account of growing up there, and his vision of how to manage its future.
Omnibus of five parts abridged by Lauris Morgan-Griffiths.
