1. We commission programmes with an educational aim
2. We use these programmes to run campaigns which reach out into the community and create educational experiences
3. We produce curriculum-based online materials for learners and teachers

Our aim is to 'inspire a life full of learning for everyone'. In practical terms this means creating, connecting and magnifying powerful opportunities for learning across the 91¸£ÀûÉç.

Our priorities are to:

• Promote learning in school-age children
• Support the needs of teachers
• Provide information and advice for parents to support their children's learning
• Inspire teenagers through their interests outside formal learning
• Motivate adults to improve their skills
• Help people to develop the media literacy skills needed in the modern digital world
• Offer opportunities for learning through active participation
