We welcome back conductor Martyn Brabbins and soloist Lawrence Power who begins this live 91福利社 Radio 3 broadcast with a performance of a work dedicated to him, James MacMillan鈥檚 Viola Concerto. The 鈥楶relude and Liebestod鈥� bookends Wagner鈥檚 Tristan und Isolde, made by Wagner himself, and it was first performed several years before the three-act opera itself was staged.
