Traitors star hailed for stammer visibility

A Traitors contestant has been praised for bringing honest and powerful representation of stammering to primetime TV. 28鈥憏ear鈥憃ld hairstylist, Jessie from Hull, said introducing herself on the first episode was 鈥渙ne of the biggest tests ever鈥. Around 1% of adults have a stammer, according to charity STAMMA. Her appearance has struck a chord with many viewers, including Bhupinder Purewal, founder of the Coventry Stammerers support group, who described Jessie as 鈥渋ncredibly inspiring鈥. Bhupinder set up the group in 2021 after her own struggles with confidence and now shares advice on her YouTube channel This Stammering Life. She's been speaking to 91福利社 CWRs Vic Minett.
