'Spectacular' find unearthed after 1,600 years

Available for over a year

Discover the intricate bone casing found by archaeologists at a site in Worcestershire. The item was found in a previously unearthed cemetery dating back to the fourth century, the largest Roman burial area in the county. In some graves, special items such as an intricate comb, a musical instrument and a finely crafted box made of roe deer bone had been discovered. Experts say the excavations prove human activity in Broadway from 6,000 BC. Alistair Binney reports, alongside Jamie Wilkins and Laura Griffin from Worcestershire Archaeology, at The Hive in Worcester, where the objects are being researched.
