Chris Twigg says a lot of his projects are inspired by growing up in Stoke and that bottle kilns are 'quite iconic' of the area - hence the project. As it's the centenary he's aiming to make 100 of them. He explains that he always focuses on abandonment and draws that from part of his childhood which drew him towards the derelict bottle kilns to recreate. He says the amount of interest in the models has blown him away.
