Prescriptions for Mounjaro jabs, to help people lose weight, will be available at GP surgeries in England - but only for those who meet very strict criteria. The weekly injection makes you feel full so you eat less, and can help people lose 20% of their body weight. NHS England says while the long-term plan is for the jabs to be more widely available, a staggered approach is needed to reach those most at need, and manage GPs' workload and NHS resources. NHS Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland has not yet decided how this will be arranged locally. Carlas Winters from Hinckley is currently taking Mounjaro privately, and told us that she's happy to hear that the NHS will be providing the medication for weight loss - and Dr Grant Ingrams, the Chief Executive Officer of The Local Medical Committee, and personal trainer Pete Kirkham spoke to 91¸£ÀûÉç Leicester's Ady Dayman.
