Family run Appleby asphalt firm to M6 rescue
Available for over a year
When the M6 was closed for 12 hours local asphalt specialists had it reopened in record time, much to the relief of motorists who'd faced traffic chaos, after a lorry covered the carriageway with mud and fuel. But resurfacing the road was a mammoth task, with 320 tons of material to shift, and enough asphalt to cover 3/4 the size of a football pitch.
