John was diagnosed with MND in 2017, and was given a diagnosis of 12 to 18 months, but defied that and then some. He spent the following seven years raising money and awareness of the disease, gaining a worldwide following on social media. The funeral took place at St Augustine's Church in Droitwich - our reporter Tom Edwards was there.
