Lake Windermere sewage concerns
Available for over a year
Surveys of becks downstream of sewage treatment works show reduced numbers of river fly numbers. This is impacting on fish and birds higher up the food chain. Campaigners want to see more done to protect the wildlife in this UNESCO World Heritage Site, and local residents are being asked to survey the number of insects in the water.
