John Mutton, the former Lord Mayor and councillor for Binley and Willenhall since 1984, has died - he was 74. He was Lord mayor in 1997/98, Deputy Leader and then Leader in 2004, before becoming Leader again in 2010 - a post he held for 3 years A keen footballer, he played for the Sky Blues youth team between 1963 and 1965, and was instrumental in bringing the International Children's games to the city in 2005.
