It's been announced that Simon Cole, the chief constable of Leicestershire Police is to retire from policing in the spring of this year. He is currently the longest serving chief constable in the UK, having started in the role in Leicestershire in 2010. He grew up in Leicestershire and began his career in West Midlands Police in 1988, working in various uniform and detective roles. Leicestershire Police and Crime Commissioner Rupert Matthews spoke to Naomi Kent.
