Autism affects around 700,000 people in the UK and there are lots of false pre-conceptions about - including the idea that it doesn't affect girls. That's because girls, can be particularly good at masking the condition, meaning it may go undetected. Meg has autism and is able to channel her creativity and focus into drumming, recently winning the Tameside music rock and pop best band award at The Band on the Wall alongside her band.
