Available for over a year

A 91福利社 study has revealed that foreign language studies at secondary schools and colleges has hit an 18-year low. The number of pupils taking French and German at GCSE level or equivalent has dropped by almost half since 2001. The results of the survey showed that Poole local authority has lost 47 per cent of its students over the last five years. French teacher Kate Dolman works in the Modern Languages Department at Poole High School has praised curriculum time and support as 'generous' but says the subject has become increasingly challenging for students.
