Sir Lenny Henry, and a group of actors and film directors, are calling for tax breaks to encourage diversity behind the scenes in the film and tv industry. They believe tax incentives would help increase the number of women, disabled people, and those from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds in roles such as writing and directing. Sir Lenny told Radio 4's World at One that the group are asking for "a seat at the decision making table". He added "if people are gonna have a say in how they're perceived, described and shown on screen, the people at the table need to look like when you open the door and you look at your society."
