Available for over a year

A tiny cemetery which is all that remains of a once grand convent school is set to be revamped. Northampton Borough Council is planning to restore the graveyard, which contains the bodies of around 80 nuns who once taught at Notre Dame convent school. The school was based on Abington Street in Northampton town centre until 1979, when it was demolished to make way for shops. Built in 1852, the Catholic school provided education for thousands of young girls up until its closure in 1975. Reporter Craig Lewis looked into the history of the building and the council's future plans.
