Commercially viable oil was discovered in Uganda's Bunyoro region in 2006, prompting ambitions plans to exploit it. In 2012, the Ugandan government acquired the land needed to build an oil refinery. Families living in the area were promised compensation, and many subsistence farmers are now moving to a modern housing estate. The 91¸£ÀûÉçs Patience Atuhaire visits their new accommodation.
