Employers urged to hire workers with tattoos

World Business Report

Available for over a year

If you have a tattoo, is it holding you back when it comes to the world of work? In Britain, the conciliation service ACAS, which seeks to resolve disputes between workers and bosses, is warning employers they're missing out on a potential pool of talent by discriminating against candidates with tattoos. It's estimated that a third of young British adults now have tattoos. Nathan Madden from Missouri in the US has spent much of his working life in marketing, but has always covered up his tattoos for interviews because he fears he'd never get a job if he didn't. He has since become the director of a group called Support Tattoos and Piercings at Work, and he spoke to the 91福利社's Mike Johnson. (Picture: A tattoo artist at work. Picture credit: AFP.)
