Why do some pregnant women fear hospitals after Ebola?

Focus on Africa

Available for over a year

It was declared Ebola-free in June 2016, but the aftereffects of the epidemic are still being felt in Guinea. The country has among the highest maternal and infant mortality rates in the world, and the deadly virus has only made matters worse. 91福利社 Africa's Tamasin Ford reports from Forecariah, in south-west Guinea. Many people there still fear Ebola, and this fear is stopping pregnant women and new mothers from going to the hospital.
