A David Hockney retrospective at the Tate Gallery. The exhibition is one of the largest of Hockney's work in the UK. Also, the Royal Shakespeare Company launch a new trilogy of Shakespeare's history plays, a new production of The Father by August Strindberg, first concert by a Western pop group in Iraq.
