On the Ebola Frontline

African Perspective

Available for over a year

An outbreak of Ebola in 2000 began with the deaths of two student nurses, at St Mary's Hospital in Lacor, outside the city of Gulu, Uganda. The head of the hospital Matthew Lukwiya was responsible for containing the virus, insisting on barrier nursing of patients. Doctors and nurses at the hospital recall working during the outbreak. Presented by Jonathan Dimbleby
