During WWI, hundreds of professional footballers joined the 17th Service Battalion of the Middlesex Regiment - known commonly as the Football Battalion. They swapped the pitch for the trench - and many paid the price with their lives in the process. 5 live Sport's Mike Ingham travelled to Longueval, France, to visit the memorial to the footballers, unveiled in 2010.
