Eimear McBride & Dilys Rose at Edinburgh Book Festival 2014

91¸£ÀûÉç at the Edinburgh Festivals

Available for over a year

Given its stream-of-consciousness structure, few could have anticipated the buzz around Eimear McBride’s debut, A Girl is a Half-formed Thing. Now the Ireland-based writer has been shortlisted for a slew of prizes including the Folio Prize. Equally innovative in its approach to storytelling is Pelmanism, the new novel by Dilys Rose, presenting fragments of memory from a woman as she approaches a terrifying reunion with her father. Chaired by author and former Booker Prize judge Stuart Kelly. 91¸£ÀûÉç Arts is showcasing some of the most exciting new talent appearing at this year’s Edinburgh Book Festival featuring authors appearing under its ‘First Book Award’ umbrella. It is a chance to hear both debut authors and international writers newly translated into English, who promise to take literary Edinburgh by storm.
