Reya El-Salahi

Available for over a year

A Somali money transfer company has won an injunction preventing Barclays from cutting its banking services. A British court ordered Barclays not to close the account of Dahabshiil, which sends hundreds of millions of dollars a year to Somalia. Barclays had planned to cut off services to the company amid concerns over money laundering. In conversation with 91福利社 Radio Nottingham鈥檚 Reya El-Salahi, one of the founders of Nottingham's East African Education Centre, Somalian-born Hamsa Ali says if this service is closed, it will force youngsters in the country into a life of terrorism and piracy.
