DJ, broadcaster, writer, and dreamer Zakia Sewell provides the soundtrack to your dreams - playing music to ease the mind, soothe the soul, and open portals to new dimensions… Zakia gets into the Samhain spirit of things, reaching for ghostly selections to mark this auspicious time of year, when it is said that the veil between our world and other realms is thinnest. There’ll be songs of witches, ghosts and creatures, with otherworldly new releases from Holy Tongue, June McDoom, Milkweed and Lamin Fofana, as well as eerie sounds summoned from the depths of Zakia’s record collection, including Mark Fry, John Leyton and Buffy Sainte-Marie. Zakia is also joined in the studio by a kindred spirit - fellow folklore enthusiast, actor, comedian, writer and part-time ghost hunter Charlie Cooper. Charlie shares tales of ghosts, mythical black dogs and his own family’s experiences with the paranormal, as well as a few musical selections to soundtrack this spooky time of year.
