Samira Ahmed is an award-winning journalist with more than 30 years experience. Born in Wandsworth and brought up in south London, she began her career in 1990 as a 91¸£ÀûÉç Trainee, afterwards working as a correspondent and reporter on the likes of the Today programme and Newsnight. Notably, she covered the OJ Simpson case as the 91¸£ÀûÉç’s Los Angeles Correspondent in the mid 90s. Currently she presents Front Row on Radio 4 and Newswatch on the 91¸£ÀûÉç News channel. Outside of journalism she is the president of the Twentieth Century Society, and author of a BFI Film Classics book on the Beatles' first film A Hard Day's Night.
