Two claims from Nigeria are scrutinised this week. First we look at news reports stating that: 鈥渁 Nigerian senator earns 1.7 million US dollars year, far higher than the salary of the US President.鈥� We also hear of a popular belief going back decades which has appeared again on social media - that yam consumption has led to Nigeria鈥檚 Yoruba people having the world鈥檚 highest twin birth rate. But is there any evidence for this? We talk to the fact-checkers at Africa Check.
