Lee James is live from New York on the opening weekend of the World Cup, bringing all the colour and atmosphere from the US city.
Lee will be joined by guests including former Sierra Leone international and MLS player Michael Lahoud and 91¸£ÀûÉç football reporter John Bennett to discuss the big talking points from the World Cup.
There will be a focus on the African teams, including reaction to Morocco’s opening game against five-time champions Brazil. Morocco were one of the stories of the 2022 World Cup, reaching the semi-finals, so could Africa finally deliver its first World Cup?
Former Democratic Republic of Congo captain Gabriel Zakuani and the former Sierra Leone captain Steven Caulker join Lee to discuss the hopes of the 10 African sides competing in the tournament. Also hear from Senegal’s Iliman Ndiaye ahead of their World Cup opener against France.
With Sportsworld in the US, Lee visits New York Cosmos to find out more about the club – from Pele’s arrival in 1975 to their current inaugural season back after their third incarnation.
