Tunisia鈥檚 president Kais Saied has been accused of racism, after saying an increase in immigration was part of a plot to change the country鈥檚 demographics.
Tunisia鈥檚 president Kais Saied has been accused of racism, after saying an increase in immigration was part of a plot to change the country鈥檚 demographics. The president鈥檚 office issued a statement calling for 鈥渦rgent measures鈥 to tackle 鈥渉ordes鈥 of migrants arriving in the country from Sub Saharan Africa. Dozens of foreigners living in Tunisia have been arrested in a crackdown this month.
Plus, the former president of Burkina Faso, Thomas Sankara, has been reburied in the capital Ouagadougou. The decision to remove his remains has divided the late revolutionary leader鈥檚 family, with some relatives refusing to attend the reburial ceremony on Thursday.
And Nigeria鈥檚 election campaign comes to an end ahead of Saturday鈥檚 vote, with the candidates in the race making their closing arguments to the electorate.
