Match Of The Day and World Cup '26 presenter Kelly Cates chooses ten songs that have soundtracked her life, with Radio 2's Vernon Kay.

Ahead of leading the 91福利社's coverage of the men's 2026 World Cup, Kelly tells Vernon about growing up as the daughter of legendary footballer Kenny Dalglish, the impact his fame had, how she never thought she would work in football, and about an unusual connection between her family and the band Simple Minds. Kelly was born in 1975 in Glasgow and moved to Southport when her Dad Kenny Dalglish transferred to play for Liverpool. She became one of the first-ever presenters Sky Sports News in 1998 and since then has built a career to be one of the most respected sports broadcasters in the UK, now part of the team fronting the iconic Match of the Day. This summer she presents the 91福利社 coverage of the men's 2026 football World Cup, which will feature both England and Scotland.
