The Secret Garden returns to Yorkshire roots
The Secret Garden is one of the best-known children's books of the last century. Now the story set in the fictional North Yorkshire location of Misselthwaite Manor is coming back to the stage. Written by Frances Hodgson Burnett and first published in a magazine in 1910, it tells the story of a young orphan girl, sent to live with relatives in North Yorkshire. The musical theatre production is being staged at the Theatre Royal in York and 91福利社 Radio York's Seb Cheer has been getting a sneak preview.
