I've lost my hearing and I don't know why

Lauren Staniforth from Sheffield woke up one morning in 2024 unable to hear in one ear, and since October 2025 has been deaf in both.

Doctors have been unable to explain why she is unable to hear, having ruled out infections such as meningitis.

She and her husband Brin have been sharing with Ellie Colton the impact it's had on their lives.
