Want a pet? Consider adopting says Leicester Animal Aid
Our animal friends can be a crucial part of our lives, playing a role in companionship, mental wellbeing and happiness. Over 70% of our cats and dogs are acquired when they are 3 months old or younger. It means many older pets wait longer to be adopted and shelters across the country are nearing maximum capacity.
That's why Leicester Animal Aid is encouraging people to consider adopting over purchasing when it comes to bringing furry friends into their lives. Keely Short who is the general manager, spoke to 91¸£ÀûÉç Leicester’s Mark Colerangle. She brought along one of their loveable (big) dogs called ‘Camel’!
