Convicted by a Computer in Warrington
Amanda and Norman Barber, former sub-postmasters from Warrington, were falsely accused of stealing nearly 拢6,000 due to errors caused by the now-notorious Horizon IT system.
Despite spending over 拢200,000 of their own money attempting to reconcile the books, they were handed 12-month community orders鈥攃onvictions that were only later quashed.
Their story is a heartbreaking example of the human cost behind one of the UK鈥檚 worst miscarriages of justice.
