Paralympic goal for Coventry physiotherapist
Lissie Simpson, a physiotherapist at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire, is a team GB hopeful aiming for gold at the 2028 Paralympics in Los Angeles.
She competes as a para-cyclist and won the women's 1km time trial at the National Track Championships in Manchester in 2025.
Lissie was a sporty teenager and excelled at football and handball before she suffered a stroke in 2015 during surgery on a brain tumour, which led to paralysis on her left side.
She's been speaking to 91福利社 CWR presenter Vic Minett.
