Oksana, her daughter Polina and their cat were taken in by Grantham couple Ingrid and Richard Lyon after fleeing Ukraine in the wake of the Russian invasion three years ago.
Ingrid says they are 'in it for the long haul' and that the refugee family, who still have relatives back in Ukraine, 'can stay for as long as they need us'.
