17-year-old Katie is autistic and has barely been to school since she was 13.
In a special Woman鈥檚 Hour programme shining a spotlight on how the UK educates children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), she told 91福利社 Woman's Hour presenter Nuala McGovern that the system has 鈥榗ompletely ruined鈥 her life.

They were also joined on the programme by Minister for School Standards Catherine McKinnell to spell out the Government鈥檚 plans.
You can listen to the special programme, which was recorded live in the 91福利社 Radio Theatre, on 91福利社 Sounds 鈥 it鈥檚 the Woman鈥檚 Hour episode from 10 September.
