3 Lions surprise for Abingdon school
Typical lessons at a school in Abingdon have been slightly different in the run up to the Euros final, as the students have been busy perfecting one very memorable piece of music.
The headteacher of St Nicholas’ Primary School has been teaching his year six students an edited version of David Baddiel, Frank Skinner and The Lightning Seeds’ ‘3 Lions.’ Their up-to-date version has new lyrics nodding to the England Team’s highs and lows in the tournament, including winning goals and criticism from fans.
A video of the children singing, accompanied by Mr Spooner on guitar, has been doing the rounds on social media, spreading one clear message: It’s coming home.
