The King's message for Worcester
King Charles can't be in person at Worcester Cathedral due to his cancer treatment, but he recorded this message, praising those who "extend the hand of friendship, especially in a time of need".
Normally the Maundy Thursday service is a regular on the royal calendar, with the monarch present as head of the Church of England. Queen Camilla was greeted by hundreds on a rainy day in Worcester, presenting special coins to people recognised for their community service.
