Record Windermere-on-Bowness drugs bust
A Lake District tourist hot spot is part of a 53 million pound cocaine distribution ring which unravelled after a tip off about local drugs dealer Reece Barnes, who lived at 31 Elim Grove, off Lake Road. Barnes was storing drugs in a Bowness lock-up in a shoe box, and an investigation led to the discovery, of what police describe as an Amazon style operation in its scale, and extent.
