Nigeria cost-of-living crisis: 'We're struggling with a lot of things'
The rising cost of living in Nigeria, Africa鈥檚 biggest economy, is taking its toll on residents and business owners. Prices have been rising rapidly, by 30% over the past year, and the currency has plunged in value.
In the commercial capital, Lagos, Matty Ukhuegbe runs a fish restaurant. She told Newsday she鈥檚 ''struggling with a lot of things''. She has had to cut down on staff, focus on deliveries and 鈥渋ntroduce larger order sizes so we can get more profit per sale鈥.
