Worcester people help refugee find forever home
They came to Worcestershire from Ukraine with broken hearts. Now Vicky's family are set, thanks to an outpouring of generosity from the community.
Vicky Yurchenko, who's 37, had to flee Kyiv with her young daughter Kate weeks after the war broke out in 2022, leaving her husband behind as they sought refuge with a host family in Worcester.
They've finally secured a home of their own, after renting a 2-bed property - but found it was totally bare, leading to an appeal going out on social media to help them.
Our reporter Tom Edwards went along to see Vicky and her family, who describe how it started, and now how it's going.
