North Yorkshire knife crime up 7% over three years
Steve Jordan looks at the work being done by Selby's frontline police officers to tackle knife crime.
Research by 91福利社 Radio York has revealed that knife crime in our area has gone up by 7% over three years. Despite this, the knife crime rate in North Yorkshire remains below the national average.
This comes as a teenager from Harrogate has been jailed for life after he murdered his friend by stabbing him at a house party earlier this year. Seb Mitchell died on 21 February, two days after he was stabbed through the heart with a kitchen knife during an argument. Seb died a week before his 18th birthday.
